Dear members,

We are currently looking for TWO representatives from Talented Mauritian Artists to attend the AniMu festival this December as an affiliate. The aim of this affiliation is stated HERE (under the 2012 affiliation project).

Last year, TMA attended the event with the presence of Ting Ting Lin and Jason Tse as representatives and supported by various artists like Aakhil Sewraz (for the background music!), Estelle Chung, Jeremy Lan and Vincent Manargadoo, alongside with other members, who were also present on the day.

The files of artworks of the mentioned members have been on display (with permission) to the public, and there was also a power point slide featuring various Mauritian artists continually displayed.

This year, we would like to prepare and inform as many artists as possible in advance so as to make the affiliation and the event a success!

Role & Responsibility of a representative:

  • To act as a bridge between the TMA admin and the organizers of AniMu to ensure clear communication for any issue. (This year most probably the admin will not be able to attend personally...)
  • To communicate and keep in touch with the members to ensure maintained interest, trust and contribution on the day of the event.
  • To cooperate with the other representative at the affiliation table for the setting up of the table, decoration, distribution of tasks and shifts.
  • To help the AniMu organizers before and after the event for the setting up/pulling down of items like tables, chairs, decoration, stage...etc. (To be a representative means to be a staff member of the AniMu itself!)
  • To be responsible for the well being of the artworks/creations/sales items deposited at the table by the artists.
  • To be honest with the cash transactions if any member has placed his/her own creations/items on sale at the table.
  • To introduce to the guests on the premises about Talented Mauritian Artists and its purpose.
