TMA Representatives at AnimeNeXt are Ting and Judy Lin, assisted by K.V Chris. Like every year, TMA will have a table for displaying and/or selling your creations! For members who will be selling their creations, all the profits are for yourselves only, TMA takes no commission for the sales!

A file of prints or traditional works (A3/A4/A5)
One painting on canvas with/out stand (per person due to limited space)

Published books
Business cards, pamphlets or brochures to market your services

Conditions for selling your own creations:

E-mail the photos of the items that you intend to sell on new_era_comes@hotmail.com, we shall get back to you as soon as possible so as to confirm with you which items are allowed, due to limited space
Already label the price of each item
Prepare a list of items, quantity brought, and respective selling price
Double check from time to time the status of your sales (quantity sold and cash in) as the representative may be busy
Collect all your items and cash at the end of event or once all your items have been sold out to avoid complexities due to excessive responsibilities of the representatives

Rules:

Submission via Youtube (most preferred) or any other similar website, avoid pure mp3 submissions (but a video submission with audio and a picture as background is acceptable), and share the link to Ting Ting Lin via facebook message or e-mail then she will do the necessary.
Once you entered, you must complete all three levels, singing a total of FOUR songs throughout this contest. There will be no elimination.

Each participant performs ONE song of his/her own choice, it can be a song cover, original song with instrumental performance, or even sing and dance performance. Note that Singing IS compulsory. No pure musical instrument cover.

Judging Criteria and Points System:

The 5 criteria for judging are:

Clarity of voice
Articulation of words
Matching tempos
Rhythm alikeness
Ability to manage a good pitch all along

Each criteria will carry a maximum of 5 points, thus making 5 x 5 = 25 full marks, and the participant with most points will be the Judge's Choice Winner for each level.

Public voting will also be done to determine the Public's Choice Winner based on number of votes.

AniMu JUMP Mix 2013 = Call for Entry =

AniMu JUMP is a magazine featuring original mangas by local Mauritian mangakas, and was launched in mid 2012. It is founded by Christelle Barbe, a.k.a Suicidollxp, also one of the organizers of local anime and manga convention, AnimuExpo. This project has as aims to promote the Japanese manga culture and local mangakas in Mauritius.

Call for Entry!!

AniMu JUMP Mix will be 224 pages in total, 10.8 x 17.46 cm

Intended Date of Release: July 2013

Deadline for submission: 31st May 2013 (early submissions accepted too!)

Submission Criteria:

Format of manga entries

1276 x 2062 pixels (10.8 x 17.46 cm)
300dpi
Comic Sans MS Regular (If a special font is used, please send the font together with the entries)

Limit of no. of pages for submission

None, but please reserve your number of pages by contacting the AnimuJUMP Mix 2013 Editing Team via mangamauritius@gmail.com. The reservation will be on a first come first served basis.

For NEW participants/manga entries, please submit in advance using the template mentioned further below:

a Black and White Character Design sheet and at least 5 finished rough pages

a B/W Character Design sheet, rough pages and text of the whole manga.

Selection of NEW manga entries will be based more on quality (scenario and graphics) than quantity. Once approved, please follow the following procedures.

For participants submitting entries continuing their current manga, simply follow the following procedures.

Procedures to follow before starting your manga project:

1. Submit the complete written dialogue to be verified and rectified.

2. Work your pages in sketch (rough) on our given template and send the rough sketches for checking on the speech balloons and text visibility issues for printing.

3. Once approved you can proceed with the final stage of inking, toning and text input.

Some tips when processing your manga for submission:

Tip no.1 When you have scanned your page, please remove all the dirt marks digitally (small black dots and imperfections)

Tip no.2 Do not squeeze your text into the speech balloons, always have in mind that it will be smaller in size on hard copy by 2 or 3 times. Leave at least 1mm space around the text in the balloon.

Tip no.3 Name your pages, put a number on each pages in a corner, Remember the person who is doing the montage doesn't know your story by heart and can miss a page specially when the manga is 100+ pages. Note the number will be erased later so do not put it where the graphics are.

Tip no.4 The panel lines are suggested to be done digitally to ensure straightness of lines.

Tip no.5 Always keep in touch with the Editor to know if your manga is going in the right direction and is being rightly done.

For the second time, TMA is in affiliation with AniMu, the organizer of the Anime, Manga and Cosplay event in Mauritius, to give our member artists a chance to show off their talents!

We welcome you, yes! YOU! to join us on the 16th Dec and be part of the TMA table! Display and/or sell your creations on a free of charge basis! Call for TMA Logo

Hello TMArtists!

Hope every body's doing great! Like every year, TMA's organizing a logo contest which constantly challenges the members' creativity!

To participate, you are requested to design a logo which should contain at least "TMA" or "Talented Mauritian Artists". The logo can be colored or black/white.

For submission, please send your entry to new_era_comes@hotmail.com, in recognizable image format! Note: One logo per artist!

Deadline: 31st December 2012

Entries will be put online in order of submission and a public voting will be open for 2 weeks after the deadline. The entries will then be used by every TMA related sites/groups/facebook fanpage in the winning order and changed on a queuing basis.

This project is a non-financed short movie making project proposed by members of TMA and aims at making a video collection of interviews with different artists of Mauritius origin.

Search for TMA representatives at AniMu 2012

Dear members,

We are currently looking for TWO representatives from Talented Mauritian Artists to attend the AniMu festival this December as an affiliate. The aim of this affiliation is stated HERE (under the 2012 affiliation project).

Last year, TMA attended the event with the presence of Ting Ting Lin and Jason Tse as representatives and supported by various artists like Aakhil Sewraz (for the background music!), Estelle Chung, Jeremy Lan and Vincent Manargadoo, alongside with other members, who were also present on the day.

The files of artworks of the mentioned members have been on display (with permission) to the public, and there was also a power point slide featuring various Mauritian artists continually displayed.

This year, we would like to prepare and inform as many artists as possible in advance so as to make the affiliation and the event a success!

Role & Responsibility of a representative:

To act as a bridge between the TMA admin and the organizers of AniMu to ensure clear communication for any issue. (This year most probably the admin will not be able to attend personally...)
To communicate and keep in touch with the members to ensure maintained interest, trust and contribution on the day of the event.
To cooperate with the other representative at the affiliation table for the setting up of the table, decoration, distribution of tasks and shifts.
To help the AniMu organizers before and after the event for the setting up/pulling down of items like tables, chairs, decoration, stage...etc. (To be a representative means to be a staff member of the AniMu itself!)
To be responsible for the well being of the artworks/creations/sales items deposited at the table by the artists.
To be honest with the cash transactions if any member has placed his/her own creations/items on sale at the table.
To introduce to the guests on the premises about Talented Mauritian Artists and its purpose.

Review of Gallery on Facebook Fanpage

Notice to all members

Dear members,

TMA is going to have a review of gallery on its Facebook Fanpage !
As most of the featured artists are aware of, their permission has been sought before their artworks are being uploaded onto the FB page. Now TMA is requesting the individual featured artists to have a look at their own galleries and see if the artworks posted up are still desired, or if there are more artworks to be added. In short, these are what TMA is going to do:

1. Allow featured artists to modify their gallery (photo album) found on the TMA Page, you can proceed simply by commenting on the photo you want to remove or request a temporary page administrator status (at your most appropriate time for one day) to add/remove photos.
2. Allow re-naming of individual photo albums in case of changing pseudo/nickname
3. Featuring non-featured artists: for artists who do not own their own photo album on the TMA Page, please do not be angry or sad! It's just that permission has not been asked from you yet! If you wish to be featured, kindly comment on the facebook post related to this topic!
4. Review of links to your personal page/website/blog/profile: Where possible, the links to the artists' other websites are provided along with the photo album description. If you wish to add more or change the links, simply comment!
